great joy this week. i just got the news from the american illustration letting me know that these two works were selected to appear in the ai annual later this year.

this illustration was made for san francisco chronicle and it's about a race horse called "papou's dream" that seems promising after the first few races, but later she falls during a race and brokes her leg. this fall was just like a death sentece, she has to be euthanized.
