illustration for a column by Oliver Burkeman, in the Guardian Weekend Magazine. Basically it's about the lack of a proper sense of urgency in our life, about how we try to please everybody else but ourselves, altho we are aware that our time is limited. therefore -the writing says- we need a revival of the artistic genre known as the memento mori. just like in renaissance europe where public clocks carried latin phrases reminding that time was ticking away and everybody is mortal.
